Ahoys Hosting Bass Tournament for Amateurs only!

28 03 2009

The 2009 Big Bass Bash Tournament for amateurs only will kick off at Table Rock Lake on May 16-17, 2009 with a $79,000 payout. Three weigh-in locations will be Ahoy’s Boat Ramp (main location at the Kimberling Inn in Kimberling City, MO), Campbell Point Marina and Cape Fair Marina.

Sponsored by Midwest Fish Tournaments, a family owned and operated company, the opening Big Bass Bash allows the weekend angler a chance to win like the professionals. Its format allows just one fisherman with one big bass to win one of three overall awards or by having one of the 12 largest bass caught during semi-hourly weigh-ins.

Several ways to win cash have been announced. Anyone who enters the tournament before midnight on May 1 will be entered in a drawing for one of ten $300 cash prizes. Anyone having in his or her possession an official t-shirt at weigh-in who comes in 13th place will win $125. And the first person to weigh-in a bass with an exact weight of three or four pounds will each day win $500.

Over 600 anglers are expected to enter the tournament.

Tournament entry fees are $110 for one day or $160 for two. New this year is a kid’s division for children 12 and younger. Entry fee is $15 per day for each child.
