The little guys are abundant in Missouri. I have had a chance to get up close and personal with them.They show up in early April, sending the papa birds out as scouts. Then a couple weeks later the rest of the families arrive. All summer I had four regulars at the watering hole.
Then summer winds down (sigh) about October here near Table Rock Lake, and the travelers come by. The great migration has begun These guys fly! Let me tell you. From Northern Parts, all the way down to Mexico or even Brazil! And back again, year after year. Check out my little fly-bys.
