BRANSON TEA PARTY – BRANSON, MISSOURI SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21

11 11 2009

BRANSON TEA PARTY – BRANSON, MISSOURI SATURDAY NOVEMBER 21, 2009 Citizens of Branson, Missouri, popularly known as the Live Entertainment Capital of America, are singing out to the American People – “Come, make a stand!” For over two centuries, America has held out the incredible promise of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to all her citizens. America shines as the land of opportunity and individual freedom, but our freedoms are being cleverly stolen – eroded by an elected Government that has lost its way. We say it’s time for the REAL America to stand up, stand tall, and stand firm. Want to make your voice heard? On Saturday, November 21, 2009, The Branson Tea Party Coalition will host a peaceful Constitutional Rally that will ring out “America First!” Join us at 11 a.m. for a one-hour roadside demonstration which will be held on the Highway 76 Strip in the area stretching from The Apple Tree Mall all the way to Fall Creek Road. You are encouraged to bring your signs with messages of your concerns regarding the outrageous and questionable actions of our elected leaders. (Note: keep the messages civil, sincere, and appropriate for public viewing.) The roadside demonstration will be followed by a Speakers’ Forum/Tea Party Rally from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Join us for this inspiring event at AREA 57 next to the Dick Clark American Bandstand Theatre, located at 1600 W. Hwy 76. Branson, MO. We are echoing the fervent calls for liberty made by Paul Revere, John Adams and Patrick Henry over 230 years ago. It is time for all Americans to remind not only our government officials, but our citizens as well, that we must work together to restore America to its original constitutional foundation. We must put aside our differences and join forces as our country is now in the crosshairs of a full-out assault on our constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms as citizens of the greatest country on earth! So let your voices be heard at The Branson Tea Party on Saturday, November 21, 2009. This is a non-partisan event; please join us and make a stand if you believe in America the Free! Sing out: America First! For more information about this important event, contact Eric Farris – 417-334-7278 or by email: eric@farrislawgroup.com

Where to Dock your boat on “Y” Highway?

31 10 2009

Ever driven Y Highway, Missouri from top to bottom? It is an interactive drive… to say the least. Consisting of about 17 miles and 300 plus sharp curves (I gave up counting at 228) it makes for an interesting trip pulling a boat. Life on Y Highway is not always simple for a typical homeowner who happens to have a boat, as many do. The draw to living on Table Rock Lake often includes boating recreation. There are few choices for boat dock ownership and few  – none that I am aware of rental slips.

Until Hideaway Marina came along. A perfect affordable opportunity for a homeowner in the area to dock a boat for the summer or year.  This would reduce traffic on Y and certainly alleviate the boat traffic up and down this stretch of beautiful Missouri roadwork. Tourists are HIGHLY unlikely to use this option for a dock. There are many more useful and far easier and closer docks without the long drive. In fact few folks other than locals are even aware of Y Highway and Hideaway Marina.

The convenient store at the Marina is an asset to the area and makes life that much easier for those in the area who are 20 long miles from a gallon of milk or a roll of TP.,,

The long time local owners of Hideaway Marina are dedicated to preserving the integrity and beauty of Table Rock Lake and the Y Highway area for themselves, their neighbors and friends, and future generations who also deserve to experience this unparalleled part of the Ozarks we all know and love. If you have never been to this top notch, clean and friendly Marina make it a point to do so.

Hideaway Marina zoning issues with Stone county may prevent any possibility of boat dock rentals to property owners.

Support our neighbors and ourselves today. Send email supporting zoning Hideaway Marina for rental slips to rebeccajshortt@us.army.mil

Thank You all <>< image

The Road to Anywhere near Table Rock Lake

29 04 2009

Will be turning, twisting, turning again. The only thing you can be sure of is there will be no straightaway, so don’t be hoping for one cause it isn’t coming, baby.Ever. All the roads are named one of two ways. we have our ‘Y’. And ‘DD’ And ‘Double O’. Which is shorthand for “OO’. Each road has it’s own little offshoots. ‘Double O 10′.  ‘Y 20′. ‘DD 16′. each of these roads have smaller yet offspring. ‘Double O 10 A2′. By the way, to save on confusion each of the second generation and beyond also has a proper name. Pritchard Holler. Blues lane. Jumpin Jacks. I believe these are assigned by whoever decides they have a great name. Kind of like buying a star.

As you may have imagined by now, each little road-child becomes progressively smaller, curvier, and a much more exciting downhill ending up in at the lake adventure. The end of the road is drawing near when the curve signs stop coming but the curves keep on. The state road crew knows when enough is enough before you do.

Wondering how we come up with ‘Y 11′ , ‘Y 18′ , ‘Y 20′? It is certainly not by miles, no sir. I believe it is measured in time. All directions are given by time here about. As Driven in a F-150 Ford pick-up. Anywhere it takes 45 minutes to travel 20 miles( with but 4 other vehicles on the road ) is a go-fast-turn-left experience. Hone up your skills and come on down, the water is fine.
